Just a quick note that former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry has endorsed Senator Obama over Hillary Clinton or John Edwards.
That’s a major boost for the IL Senator who lacks the depth and breath of the Clinton machine.
Coupled with the union endorsement in Nevada, this is a strong indication that democrats sense that Hillary is simply unelectable. John Kerry has a huge database of contributors and workers that Obama will need as we head into Super Tuesday.
Fasten your seat belts. Get ready for the ride on the Democratic “swift boat” as we watch to see who will be the last person standing.
James Carville is now on the scene. I guess we bring in the big guns before the fat lady sings.
PS: My projection. After a bloody primary fight Hillary in 12 rounds.

Hey, Larry!
Love your post today. Ah, yes … Karl Rove won’t let anybody best the candidate the Republicans know they can best easily. The plan to have millions and millions of Republicans vote for Hill in the open primaries is an easy derailing tactic; making sure millions and millions more Republicans switch their voting status to Democrat for closed primaries so they can vote for Hill is a little more complicated, but very, very clever even though it is a little risky that those folks will quickly re-register Republican once the primaries are over and Hill is declared the victor.
Larry –
It’s about the electibility of a candidate, or not, stupid. Your off the cuff remark about the fat lady is unwarranted. Should I mention certain body parts of the male candidates and their inadequacies?????
We’ve only had the right to vote for 88 years, but we certainly outnumber ‘ya.
Thanks for the post Larry! I don’t think this country can afford to have Hillary at the helm. That is one of the reasons I too have endorsed Obama. Plus the GOP won’t let me vote in the CA primary, since I am registered DTS.

Some people may not be familiar with the expression you have taken offense to so let me share what Wikipedia has to say about the expression that we use in sports as it gets close to the end of a game or series. “It ain’t over til the fat lady sings.”
Respectfully, don’t be so sensitive. It is not an off the cuff remark. It has been used for more years than I can remember.
Quote: It ain’t over ’til the fat lady sings is a proverb, essentially meaning that one shouldn’t assume the outcome of some activity (frequently a sports game) until it has actually finished.
This phrase in turn refers to the impression by many that at the end of every opera, an aria is sung by a heavy-set woman dressed like a valkyrie.”

I am glad to see Obama giving Hillary a challenge. She thought being a former first lady was all the qualifications she needed to be coronated by the DNC.

Please do not assume that my preference of our party’s competitor is an indication that I have endorsed Obama. In fact I just spoke to Claudio and reconfirmed that I have yet to decide which of the Republican candidates I will be voting for.
PS: I have to report that while driving home from Office Max I listened to Sean Hannity trashing John McCain. As a Republican I believe it’s OK for him to attack any of the Democratic candidates on his program but to blast McCain might have been too much to take. The good news is that I have the kill switch and shut the radio off.
As a talk show commentator I would hope that he not be so open in expressing his position on our field. If on the other hand he has endorsed a candidate than he owes it to advise his listeners so that they know where he is coming from.
Art. Last thought.
When you posted I too having endorsed Obama I was slow to recognize that you were referring to Kerry and not me. Gilbert, chill out!
