It’s vacation time for me and my family, so I will be leaving the blog in the capable hands of my co-bloggers. My wife won’t let me take my computer, so I won’t be blogging again until Friday at the earliest.
And yes we have a housesitter and a dog to watch the house while we are gone. Plus we hired our contractor to redo our two of our bathrooms. So the stately Pedroza manor is in good hands.
We are heading to Ensenada, Mexico. My kids have never been to Mexico, so I am looking forward to showing them the land of my forefathers.
Best wishes to all and happy blogging in my absence!
I hope you have a wonderful time, Arturo, and that your children are impressed and proud of their Glorious Heritage- Mexico! I am sure that their impressions of this wonderful land will linger long in their memories, my only question is why have you not shown them this glowing tribute to human possibility that we call-Mexico!
Art:
I hope you and your family have a great time. And, do you kids a favor and plan another trip to show them the real Mexico as opposed to Ensenada.
The best fish tacos in the world are at a taco stand on Castillo street down there Art. Try to check it out if you get a chance.
You and your wife have a lot of guts to leave the country while leaving your home in the hands of a remodeling contractor. Enjoy the vacation, but be prepared for construction chaos upon your return. And, don’t forget your passports! (or, has that requirement been postponed for a while?)
Smart wife you have there!
Have a great time!
With all the changes in the laws, I expect that your whole family has their passports in order.
A year ago my wife was in upstate New York with our daughters family and they crossed over to Canada.
Needless to say they had a hell of a time getting back over the border to the USA.
(you know those pesky native american indians, they think they can go anywhere. Have blue card will travel.)

Ah Mexico, birthplace of the fish taco and Caesar salad.
One of my favorite restaurants in Ensenada is El Rey Sol. Wonderful French cuisine.
Art, your kids live in Mexico. AKA Santa Ana.
If you wanted to give your children a taste of Mexico then a trip to T.J. might have been a more honest look at their forefathers then a vacation to a resort.
