I just received O.C. Supervisor Janet Nguyen’s latest newsletter. Highlights appear below:
Funds to fight gangs approved
At the August 21st Board of Supervisors meeting, the Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to accept $50,519 in federal funds to fight gang activity in Santa Ana. The funds were made available through the Project Safe Neighborhood Initiative and will be used specifically on work to enforce the gang injunction in place in Santa Ana. The Orange County District Attorney and the Santa Ana Police Department are working together to enforce the gang injunction and bring an end to gang activity in Santa Ana.
Probation services expanded to curb delinquency
During the August 21st Board of Supervisors meeting, myself along with the rest of the Board voted in favor of renewing the contract for the provision of Probation Officer Services for the Community Schools Program. This joint program operated by the Orange County Superintendent of Schools and the Probation Department seeks to manage and rehabilitate at risk youth within the school systems. With the proper support from the Board and the community, it is the goal of both departments to curb juvenile delinquency within the County.

Does anyone know if she supports dumping Chris Street?
Anon 8:47
She said she needs more information.
Translation: Her Lawyer Phil Greer is also Chris Streets Lawyer.
Phil Greer is going to make a fortune off of billable hours by dragging this out. Hence the more janet nguyen delays the more she can knock off from her debt she owes Phil Greer from defending her against the Van Tran Cabal.
I noticed she failed to mention her wasting tax dollars on the Little Saigon office she is opening solely for political benefit to her.
I also noticed that she failed to mention all the cash I wasted by approving the Maglev train and my buddy Miguel’s term limit measure, not to mention all my other giveaways of public dollars. Just wait till I give Micheal Metzler lots of cash.
Sean,
Poster 4 is right. Sal blew $150K of taxpayer money by putting the fraudulent term limit measure on the ballot. And then he voted to blow over $50K of Measure M money on the stupid Orangline that will never happen…
At least Janet’s office is all about customer service. That is a lot loftier than a term limit hoax and an imaginary choo choo that is opposed by the OCTA and everyone else that matters.
Poster 2,
This is not about Supervisor Nguyen. Street is not her problem. She did not recruit him as a candidate. Moorlach did.
I think Nguyen will do the right thing. And Street is toast.
Art,
I am waiting for a “Juicy” story about Nguyen’s remodeling of her office in about $200,000 to taxpayers as reported by John & Ken Show on KFI today.
Gold plated toilets?
Art – How can you say Street is not her problem? My parajito told me that she will be voting with Bates on this issue and the board will be 3-2 to suspend Streets investment authority. If she votes this way I fully expect you to come down hard on her here….just like you have the others.
Art,
“Customer service”?
Who are you kidding? This is all about pandering to the Little Saigon crowd for votes.
She said the people of Little Saigon had trouble getting to the County Offices. Just put them on the 64 Route east bus and it drops them right at the County.
Try and spin this into a slap at Sal if you want, but that anti-Latino bigot Janet is simply using our money to win votes.
So much for the fiscal conservatism she ran on.
I believe all 5 County Supervisors have weekly or bi-weekly electronic newsletters. Hopefully you will not regurtitate them all here. Suggest that you post links, if anything, vs. the whole enchilada.
