Here we go again. Yet another Republican candidate is bashing on immigrants so he can pick up angry white votes. This time it is presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani. According to the L.A. Times, “Giuliani vowed Tuesday to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into the United States by closely tracking visitors to the country and beefing up border security.”
But hold on, his opponent, Mitt Romney, said that “Giuliani “instructed city workers not to provide information to the federal government that would allow them to enforce the law. New York City was the poster child for sanctuary cities in the country.” D’oh!
But Romney is no good guy either. He has been bashing immigrants too. However, as it turns out, he is also a hypocrite. According to an online news source, “The former Massachusetts governor was asked about several cities in that state that have declared themselves
art jesus said also give to ceaser what is ceaser .. the ILLEGALS THE Famous word again you leave out in all your articals . you sound like a broken record always bashing republicans and always calling them anti immigrant . for the 10 ooooooo time since you cant understand its ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS . I LIKE TO SEE ONE OF YOUR ARTICALS for once print out the that word when talking about immigrants . i wont hold my breath .
Anon #1,
Try taking a grammar class. It was pretty painful trying to read your comments. Also, use your “spellcheck” on your computer. It will help to decipher what you are trying to say. I can’t tell whether you are crazy or just plain dumb.
Anon #1,
The problem with using the word you are choosing is simply grammatically incorrect. A person can not be illegal and therefore should not be written in a sentence.
If you take a look at the dictionary you will see my point.
Cut to the chase, you three. You all know what each other is trying to say and choose to debate grammar vs. the issues! Geeze —-
post#4 is correct lets focus on the issue here we know what he was trying to say and you rip him for his post . i guess he was correct because i did not see any feedback from you master scholars
What is so hard about using the phrase, “Undocumented” immigrants/workers etc…?
That is more accurate than calling people “illegal”.
Our borders have been deliberately porous in order to furnish cheap labor, as the results show. Our own government has failed to safely secure the borders AND ports of this country.
People coming to the US from Asia, Europe, Middle East and South America for a better opportunity are both undocumented and documented because of the US practices and unenforced border policies. Non are illegal immigrants. Some may be undocumented.
Greetings from Central Florida.
While we look at the immigation stance of the front-running Republican candidates, and a possible run by Independent Mayor Bloomberg, perhaps we should add comments on this topic from Obama and Hillary. What’s their position on this issue? No, not their Senate votes. Are they addressing this issue as they travel around the circuit?
Bloomberg would make a great
Democratic Candidate..maybe even
a better running mate for Hillary
than Obama….but it ain’t goin
happen folks! The Rudy knows his
politics and his positions on the
issues that will net him the
Republican Nomination! Yeah Rudy!
. “Illegal immigrant” isn’t proper, as Luis points out. And one commenter asks a fair question : why not call them undocumented immigrants? A fair question right back would be why not describe them “immigrants here illegally”?
Ron,
Hillary cannot pick Bloomberg, a running mate must come from a different state.

What in the world is YOUR issue?
You are going to leave b/c you don’t like what was posted? Why don’t you like it? What do you have to offer back?
Just leaving is kind of childish. But hey… there are a ton of other sources to keep you entertained out there.
Back in 1996 when an emergency-command center was built in New York City, Giuliani rejected recommendations from public safety officials that it be constructed in a lower profile and safer location. He wanted a location he could walk to.
I wonder why:
“Giuliani’s office [in the bunker] had a humidor for cigars and mementos from City Hall, including a fire horn, police hats and fire hats, as well as monogrammed towels in his bathroom. His suite was bulletproofed and he visited it often, even on weekends, bringing his girlfriend Judi Nathan there long before the relationship surfaced. He had his own elevator.”
Hmmnn. Married man compromises public safety and arguably jeopardizes the lives of many New Yorkers beyond his own so he can have easier access for secret rendevous’s with his mistress.
How can any “family value” Republican embrace Mayor Rudy’s candidacy with a straight face?

Hey art in case you missed it…there is a post above this one with a …..DEMOCRAT…bashing on immigrants. She even uses the term Illegal immigrants…..and you have been very silent on it….whats up with that???
#11 LOL! Bet you come back and read this thread.
Art, is this your first GBF (good bye forever!) post? I notice that your readership keeps creeping up despite the occasional “I’m never going to read this blog, ever, ever again!” post. Congrats!
