Regarding the $ 10 million for a gang czar and program. When spread among 58 counties and/or a total of hundreds of cities in California, it will not have much of an impact. In fact, if not carefully watched it could just wind up funding a larger bureaucracy of anti-gang cheerleaders. It’s a start, I guess, but not likely to have a real impact – but for some it “feels good”.
