The O.C. Register’s Immigration blog finally addressed the Sanctuary issue with this post:
Santa Ana city council members have squelched talk of the city becoming a sanctuary for illegal immigrants, saying they have neither the authority nor the desire to push forward such a designation.
A small group of people have pushed city leaders in recent weeks to declare Santa Ana a safe haven. But the council had scheduled no formal action on those requests, and several of its members said such a move would be little more than a meaningless gesture.
Actually what is “pathetic,” Mr. Anti-American (Art Pedroza) is your little racist friend(s) who when asked by Mr. Bustamante, “what exactly is a sanctuary city?”, couldn’t even tell him or the council what that means or exactly what they were asking the council to do – DUH!
These fools obviously dropped by your house for some kool aid before heading off on their la raza rampage. By the way, tell your little gang banger drug dealer, Michelle Martinez, she took an oath to defend the constitution againt ALL enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. Anyone seeking to undermine any of our laws – especially our soverignty, is any “enemy.” That means your illegal alien la raza buddies demanding a “sanctuary city.”
SanTana is already a sanctuary city. You’ve got at least 100,000 illegals living in garages and living ten to a room.
P.S. Art, the U.S. stole the southwest from Mexico fair and square. Had they fielded a better army, it would be us crying the blues. Besides, to leave all this valuable territory in Mexico’s hands would have been a giant waste. The proof is in their third-world living conditions.

Somehow the Cities of Oakland and San Francisco figured out how to become Sanctuary cities. Surely Carlos can google that?
And don’t forget that former Oakland Mayor Jerry Brown is now our State Attorney General. My guess is he is OK with the idea of a Sanctuary City for immigrants, as he presided over one.

Carlos is playing up to his Republican buddies because he still has the absurd idea that he has a future in politics and that the Republicans will help him.
I hope those seeking the Sanctuary status don’t give up easily. That’s what the council wants you to do. You need a councilmember who will put it on the agenda. It only takes one. And then keep going down to meetings until they understand what you want. Bustamonte is playing games with you because he thinks you are stupid. He’s got his little bit of the American Dream and doesn’t care if the rest of us Mexicans get ours.
It would be nice if a councilmember would put it on as an 85a item so we could discuss it.
I wish we could get Mr. Bustmonte’s parents and his in-laws at a council meeting and watch them struggle with English on camera and see how he would like other council members mocking thier questions! The truth is, ALL OF THE COUNCIL voted against this wacky idea – even Michelle Martinez – who is simply trying to appease Art and a few others by throwing a couple of “bones” his way in her comments when she says she wants more info.

He’s not overburdened financially – he bought the house years ago for a great price, it happens to be worth over a million now so there’s a ton of equity – so what? He’s under no investigation and never was, in fact he just recently got a promotion; there are no other ninos than the ones with his wife, that’s been proven as well.

When Mexico was granted its’ independence from Spain, General Santa Anna tore up the old Constitution of 1824 and wrote a new one which made him a military dictator.
When word broke out in the northern Texas settlements, the Anglos and Tejanos worked together to fight for their freedom — they didn’t want to be apart of a military dictatorship under Santa Anna!
