I am pleased to announce that Brea Councilman Ron Garcia has been appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the California Housing Partnership Corporation. Here is Garcia’s press release:
Ronald Garcia, 59, of Brea, has been appointed to the California Housing Partnership Corporation. He has served on the Brea City Council since he was first elected in 2006 and served on the City of Brea Planning Commission from 1999 to 2002 and 2005 to 2006.
Garcia previously served as a senior wholesale loan officer for World Savings Bank from 2005 to 2006. Prior to that, he served as senior deputy director for the Fannie Mae Corporation, Los Angeles/Orange County Partnership Office from 2000 to 2005 and was vice president of loan productions for Quaker City Bank from 1982 to 2000.
Garcia is a member of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. This position requires Senate confirmation and there is no salary. Garcia is a Republican.
