There are a couple of charity walks coming up that deserve to be noted here at the OJ.
First up, AIDS Walk! My friend Paul Cook-Giles is raising money for this important service, which I donate to every year. There are two different ways to contribute: on-line, or by check/cash. The Walk is a little early this year (May 12, instead of the traditional first Sunday in June). There are two different ways to contribute: on-line, or by check/cash. If you’d
like to use your ATM or credit card, visit Paul’s personal fundraising page at AIDS Walk. Or, mail or hand him a check (payable to AIDS Walk Orange County). You can hand it to him at an event, or call him (714.785.3234) and he can pick it up. Either way, it’s tax deductible.
Next up, the MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) Strides for Change. Carin Agiman, who used to be the editor of the Park Santiago newsletter, works for Harveys Industries, which is a local company (off of Broadway and Buffalo). Harveys has long been a supporter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and they are committed to the Strides for Change. Carin is participating in this walk and she is asking for your help to reach her goal. MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) has done a lot to help keep our communities safe, but they need help in providing funds to further their mission. Here are the details:

The Charity sucks!
Poster 2,
No, that is not true. It is Saturday and our readership is light today. I am sure that these charities will do quite well over the next week. I have faith in our readers’ generosity.
I for one will be giving Paul a $50 donation for the AIDS walk. I challenge my fellow bloggers, as well as our readers, to donate as well. It’s a great cause.
Sean, thank you– I really appreciate the support– and the hundreds (if not thousands) of people helped every year with the proceeds of AIDS Walk thank you, too.
Paul
