I just received multiple phone calls advising that tonight’s Santa Ana City Council meeting is not being televised. Normally the first council meeting of the month is televised live on the local cable television public access channel.
The meeting is also not being streamed on the City’s website.
This is outrageous! Mayor Miguel Pulido and City Manager Dave Ream are completely out of order and are ignoring the public demand for open government. This action will have consequences – and neither Ream nor Pulido will like them.
If the local voters weren’t awake already, they will be now.
My guess is that Ream and Pulido did not want us to see how councilman (and Pulido puppet) David Benavides is going to vote on mayoral term limits. I believe he is going to go back on his word and vote against this item that he PROMISED us he would support. It is early yet however, so let’s see how this ends up.
We will have another report after the meeting.
This blows!
With the change to Time Warner, who do we call?
Doesn’t Luis have a direct line to Michelle Martinez? Maybe she can tell someone at the meeeting to push the button.
i check cable tv and my computor and both have a replay of the parade. i guess i should walk over there myself.
it is on now on my computor, so i be here and watch the stream
