Santa Ana residents were excited about the prospect of Santa Ana Council Member Mike Garcia running against Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido – but that is not going to happen after all. Garcia has pulled out of the mayoral contest – and he won’t be running for his seat on the Santa Ana City Council either.
What this means is that for those of us who want real change in Santa Ana, Thomas Gordon is our man. Many of you have enjoyed reading his posts here at the Orange Juice, and now you can help him become our next Mayor here in Santa Ana.
Here is Gordon’s candidate statement:
Thomas Anthony Gordon for Mayor
We need real change in Santa Ana! We need a Mayor who will stand for the people, not the special interests. I will do what it takes to make Santa Ana a great city to live in.
Our parks are in disrepair and our public libraries are down to two branches
As long as Tom stands up for Police and Fire and my Mom and Dad. Tom you have to make sure police and fire have what it takes to get those bad guys you all talk so much about that are loose out there. Make sure they police and fire have the best of the best. You know how much they mean to me?
My parents live in Santa Ana also. I grew up there to. The retires are being ignored. You do all that and you have my help.
Stanley,
As long as you insist on insulting people instead of writing about the issues, I will keep deleting your posts. Get used to it.
Art,
Let me give you friendly advise.
Stop censuring my speech!
I have not insulted no one!
It is you who found entertaining to insult my mother.
These postings are still here.
We both have common goal to get Pulido out.
Should you continue your belligerent behavior in your blog including your three stooges Claudio, Luis and Thomas, I my use my 20% influence against you and start endorsing Pulido.
So do not piss me off Art!
Stanley,
I did not insult your mother. BTW, many anonymous posters have pulled the same stunt on me. It is a joke, so just laugh it off.
As for what you wrote, you referred to Thomas as being “feminized.” Those are fighting words in my book. Do you know Thomas? He is anything but feminized. Please stop referring to him in such terms. Be a man and stick to the issues.
As for your 20% – it just became 2% with Thomas filing. But by all means, please throw your support to Miguel. I am sure that will really help him!
Miguel will continue to be our mayor. If you’ve read Tom’s posts (even just a smattering of them) you’ll see that he’s not only inarticulate, but combative. He will not foster consensus in a city desperately in need of it.
My vote stays with Miguel until a viable and consensus building candiate appears.

The circus is in town, come and listen to the barking dogs.
Should be even better than last years.
Stanley,
Yes, you are a parody. And yes I deleted your latest post. And that will keep on happening as long as you keep using profanity and derogatory language on my blog. Why can’t you keep it clean Stanley? Listen, please just go endorse Pulido and be done with it. I am sure he can use your 2% of the vote.
anaonymous 10:11, this administration was built on using the Hispanic community to anger the Neighborood associations. This produced the traditional faithfull voteral base. The message is support us and we will control the Hispanics. They nurture and encuorage issues associated with quality of life without a real effort to solve problems in other to maintain a devided Santa Ana. If you want concensus building then a change is necessary.
Stanley,
Every time you resort to profanity, I am going to delete your posts. Please stop wasting my time. Learn to express yourself like the adult you are supposed to be.
Ok Pedroza,
You are really good campaign manager for your candidate.
I am endorsing Pulido against Thomas.
We will see how far you will get!
pulido4mayor
Stanley,
Excellent! The “Steve Rocco” OF Santa Ana has endorsed Pulido. I’m sure that it will help him to no end to be affiliated with you. Listen, I recommend that you put out a big press release about this and call up Pulido. Ask him to hire you in some official campaign capacity. Vaya con Dios!
Has
Art–Pretty funny calling Stanley the Steve Rocco of Santa Ana. I get it. But I believe Rocco is still in Santa Ana. He ran against Pulido some years ago and still lives in town.
B/R,
I thought Rocco was in Orange as he serves on the OUSD board. If he is still in Santa Ana, I can only hope he does not team up with Fiala. God help us all in that case!
Wow! The Hawaiian sun must be getting the best of Miguel or he’s very displeased with the Pinnancle project.
Que lastima.
Stanley,
We are all quite tired of your profane spams. My entire blog team is now able to delete them – and we will keep doing so. Please, go help Pulido with his campaign. That is a better expenditure of your time.
