Baugh steps up for Moorlach
I just received this information from Bruce Peotter – apparently OC GOP Chair Scott Baugh has sent out a letter urging last minute support for John Moorlach, as he tries to thwart the vicious attacks by the employee unions. Here is the letter:
I am sorry but I am not impressed with the Peotter brothers “famous” picks. I think their picks are a joke. They are supporting Jim Silva and Mike Corona and they are supporting John Moorlach because they don’t like the unions and how the supervisors voted yet they are supporting one of the supervisors because it is their friend. Gimme a break.
How can you take these guys seriously when they are helping the unions by supporting Jim Silva!
Bruce and Scott need to be a good friend and tell their buddy Jim to do us all a favor and drop out of the race before he hands it over to Dianne Harmon.

Are you still calling on Scott to resign?
Art is a Democrat!!!!!
Jubal,
I spoke to Scott the other day and we agreed to try to meet up at some Flag Day event that is coming up.
The reasons I called for Baugh to step down include:
1. The voter registration problems in the 34th – we waited too long to address them.
2. The actions of the Caronistas at our Central Committee, and Baugh’s failure to properly handle the mess.
3. I don’t like the idea that Baugh is a lobbyist – that seems like a conflict of interest.
Until I meet with Baugh I will maintain an open mind, but I still would prefer to have a conservative activist like Mark Bucher or Jim Righeimer at the helm of the party.
Art:
Commendable of you.
Obviously, we disagree on your second point, and I disagree that Scott’s work as a lobbyist present any conflict to serving as party chair.
As for the voter reg program — this has to be one of the most overblown “scandals” in recent memory. Frank Barbaro screams scandal to mask the fact that the GOP caught the Dems napping in Central OC, and the Reg is looking sniffing for a Pulitzer and happy to work with Barbaro in the process. IO you boil their “investigation” down to the fundamentals, there’s not much there.
