Daucher endorsed by three old white guys…who cares?
Jon Fleischman is making a big stink over at his blog about the fact that apparently Dick Ackerman has recruited two other old white Republicans to back his pick for the 34th State Senate District, Lynn Daucher. Big deal. The other two guys are Jim Brulte and Ross Johnson – and I bet that if you asked the voters in the 34th who these guys are most would roll their eyes. WHO CARES?

I still think that Tran should handily beat Daucher, but now that these three “brainiacs” are teaming with Daucher, the side effect is that we will see thousands of Republican dollars wasted on Daucher, which is why you should not give money to parties, or caucuses, but rather to candidates of your choice.
I do have to wonder though when Tran’s adviser’s, Shawn Steel and Michael Schroeder, are going to start countering the spin coming out of Daucher’s camp. Should be any day now, but I guess they are waiting for after the Rose Bowl. Here is my prediction, for what it is worth: USC will beat Texas the way Tran will eventually thump Daucher. But neither the game nor the campaign will be easy…
I’m sure Van will do better against Daucher than USC did against UT.
I hope so! Well, at least the red state prevailed over the blue state.
