Daucher says – let the backroom boys pick the candidate
According to Jon Fleischman, over at http://www.flashreport.org/commentary0b.php?postID=2005122301542145, Lynn Daucher wants the Republican leaders, particularly the State Senators, to decide whether she or Van Tran would be the better GOP candidate for the 34th Senate District. Funny, I thought that was what primaries are for. Silly me. Why let the voters decide when Lynn can have her buddy Dick Ackerman settle the issue? I guess since we cannot have an open primary, we ought not have one at all.
No thanks Lynn. If you want to run for the 34th, in the general, you will have to beat Tran first. Good luck with that. The consensus in the GOP blogosphere appears to be that Daucher ought to go away. Personally, I would rather see her trounced by Tran first, so that we can put an end to her political career once and for all.
OF course, If Lynn wants to run and Van wants to run it should be up to the voters in the district to decide who they want, not party leaders.
Yes I think that Ackerman along with many Republican leaders have problems with voices from minorities, News flash however, in California we are all minorities, time for them to get into the 21st century.
