Did you see the weird O.C. Register editorial this past Sunday that actually ended up making Lou Correa look like a decent candidate for the O.C. Board of Supervisors? What is up with that? The editorialist asked the four candidates for the First Supervisorial District a series of inane questions, and he never touched on the biggest issue – the Orange County PLA (project labor agreement) which banned non-union contractors from bidding on county public works.
One of the questions asked was regarding redevelopment. Why would the Register touch on that when the county is hardly the biggest play in redevelopment? Of course two of the three council members failed to answer this question correctly, per the author of the piece. Correa allegedly passed, but give me a break – he is against non-union labor! How in the heck can the Register overlook that?
