Just a little video to share with you this week. The song may not be to your liking — though I liked it and my daughter literally ran into the room to find out what it was — but it’s the video that’s really a lot of fun. None of this will be entirely new to fans of Ray Harryhausen or Art “Gumby” Clokey or the Aardman Animations studios or some of other great stop action animators, but has the advantages of being tuneful, dreamy, and sexy. And if you don’t like it — well, you have the whole weekend to recover.
This is your Weekend Open Thread. Talk about this or whatever else you want, within general bounds of decorum and discretion. And … sweet dreams!

In honor of Rand Paul, I was going to make a filibuster joke here — “stop motion,” get it? — but I shall instead be merciful.

So I’m not the only one with a camera over their bed…..cool.
I did not see that one coming. Vern, delete entire post?
Life is like this video. One big 360.
That is an absolutely beautiful music video Greg! And for this weekend, i forgive you for being a Neo-Liberal, Border-Less piece of poo! Just for this weekend! YOU Jerk!
Just For This Weekend.
Greg’s a Neoliberal? In what way?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoliberalism
Because he doesn’t agree with all of Double-Eye’s late-night theories about Neo-Liberalism.
In the sense that Lippmann and Rüstow rebelled against von Mises and Hayek under the banner of “neoliberalism,” I’d have been on their side, but they were trying to push European liberalism (i.e. laissez-faire capitalism) to the left by introducing a regulatory state.
The meaning of the term has changed, though. I find myself mostly agreeing with everything in the portion of that piece that describes “Opponents of Neoliberalism.” I think that market economics is a very useful tool, but that it has to be handled and constrained, without which it turns into something as bad or worse than a pure command economy. I think that Double Eye’s calling me “neoliberal” is of a kind with his calling me, in the same comment, “a piece of poo” — sure, it’s within me, but I try not to allow it to typify me, as by far most of me is something other than that.
I seem to recall GSR calling you a Neoliberal. Double Eye may simply be parroting that label, ignorant of its current meaning.
