These articles are interesting and I have to accept that I’m not going to write much about them on my own.  So, if you’re interested, here are some links for your reading pleasure — and your discussing pleasure, if you’re so inclined.  Feel free to add your own in comments. [- Greg D]

(1) Gov. Brown will restrain Dems from getting too frisky

A bare 2/3 majority in the Assembly should make that easy — but 29 out of 40 seats in the Senate means that a lot is going to pass at least one legislative house.

(2) Defeated San Diego Mayoral Candidate DeMaio on building a new CA GOP

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/party-377991-republicans-new.html

Republicans lost the San Diego Mayor position for the first time in quite a while.  Their defeated standard bearer writes in the Orange County Registernot his hometown paper — to let his party know that they can succeed by imitating what he did.  Looks like we already have a candidate for statewide office in 2014!

(3) Drew Westen on the Leftward Tilt in the U.S.

Written before election day, too.  Check out his book “The Political Brain” when you have a chance.

(4) Old-style, disgusting racial oppression drives Black family out of Yorba Linda

Well, OK — maybe I will have to write about this one more.  I denounce it.  Who’s with me?
