So self-appointed vigilante George Zimmerman was “suspicious” of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin because he was a black kid wearing a “hoodie”, who didn’t appear to “belong” in the neighborhood. Well, it’s not unlawful (if not politically correct) to be “suspicious” of someone, but it’s NOT OK to accost someone because of those suspicions and take the law into one’s own hand, particularly when no actual crime has been committed.
If an altercation did occur, it is clear that it was initiated by Zimmerman, not Martin. Further, Zimmerman lied about the extent of his injuries (if any) in order to justify his claim of self defense in fatally shooting Martin.
But I am not as troubled by the racial aspects of the shooting as I am by the failure of the Sanford (FL) police to arrest Zimmerman following the shooting. Especially when we learned that Zimmerman’s daddy Robert was a retired Orange County judge (no, not the corrupt Orange County, CA, but rather the corrupt Orange County, FL)!
Further investigation reveals that George Zimmerman has THREE (3) PRIOR ARRESTS, one for domestic violence, one for resisting an officer (without violence), and one for resisting an officer WITH violence, a felony charge which could have landed Zimmerman in prison. Mysteriously, all of these arrests were closed without being prosecuted!
Could the fact that Zimmerman’s daddy was a judge been a factor? Duh! Is there an incestuous relationship between law enforcement and the judiciary? Does anyone remember sexual predator Joran Van der Sloot who got away with murder in Aruba? His daddy was a judge too!
It appears that Trayvon Martin’s only “crime” was wearing a “hoodie” and walking to his father’s residence. Zimmerman needs to be arrested and tried for murder. And if the Keystone Kops in Sanford FL won’t take action, then Attorney General Eric Holder needs to intervene.

I don’t know what’s worse. What George did to Trayvon or that there is a law George can hide behind to avoid prosecution for what he did to Trayvon.
The media coverage of this disappoints me. Why not wait for government to take action by charging him or releasing a report on why he won’t be charged?
Last week the press spent two days talking about videos that allegedly didn’t show any head injury to Zimmerman. Zimmerman was taken to the hospital. Wouldn’t waiting for the medical report be more responsible? After all, he was either treated by a doctor for a head injury or he wasn’t.
The guy might be guilty as sin. But why the rush to judgement?
Randall — how often does the media follow that rule? Do you get disappointed about it every time, enough to write about it? The “rush to judgment” is out of indignation, which won’t keep in the refrigerator until you’re ready for it.
Randall, if there were no media coverage of this, then there would be no action by the government. This would all have been forgotten if not for the public outrage. That outrage is then reported by the media. So that disappoints you ?
Wouldn’t it be more responsible to do a drug and alcohol screen on the shooter? They did one on the kid.
Wouldn’t it be more responsible to call the parents of Treyvon, than call him a John Doe. He had ID on him.
Wouldn’t it be more responsible not to have given the shooter his gun back? He might be a murderer.
Wouldn’t it be more responsible to have arrested Zimmerman? Holding someone after a stalking and a shooting seems like the safe thing to do.
The poor kid was shot on February 26th. Where is the “rush to judgement” ?
I didn’t mean to imply that there should be no media coverage. I just wish they would follow the story and report the facts as they come available.
But, contrary to what Spike Lee and others might think, there is a presumption of innocence in this country. Or is there?
The media is doing exactly that….following the story and reporting the facts. And commenting on those facts, a lot of which just don’t add up.
Yes, there is a presumption that Trayvon is innocent, and did not need to be executed.
Why are you so defensive of Zimmerman ? That’s pretty weird.
Part of the medical report was released today on Zimmerman. Turns out he had a broken nose, two black eyes, and other injuries. Lets see if the media gives this the same coverage.
Looks like everybody is reporting the latest…
Randall, how did you hear about the medical report?
Let me guess. The media?
Yes, there is a presumption of innocence in this country.
There is also a little thing called “history”.
Speaking of “presumed innocent”, we have this from the 911 call placed by Zimmerman;
“During the police call, the affidavit says, Zimmerman “made reference to people he felt had committed and gotten away with break-ins in his neighborhood.” While talking about Martin, it alleges, he referred to “these f—ing punks” and “these a–holes” who “always get away.”
Did Mr. Zimmerman afford the same presumption of innocence to Mr. Martin that you request of Spike Lee?
RANDALL great points that the loons like democrap why are you so denfesive about zimmerman why are you so defensive about this kid ..its sad what happened but we DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED .. race baiters like al , jese and the black congress have already decided this case .. stupid fools like spike lee another racist like al ,jesse , putting out his address ( wrong one ) on twitter causing the family to move out of their home . the black panther party putting out A BOUNTY ON THE GUY where is eric holder zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz oh not arresting those other goons who beat up a white guy in baltimore took his & wallet , car keys all while laughing their asses off .. now reverse that and make the victim black what would happened .. LETS WAIT FOR ALL THE EDVIDENCE TO COME IN .
As always, it’s really hard to figure out what your’e saying, and I know I’ll regret this, but…
What are you saying happened in Baltimore? Tell us slowly, and in several sentences, because I haven’t heard about this. And give us a link if you know how to do that.
And then we’ll see if there’s any kind of parallel with Trayvon.
Ironically, down below the Grating Juan demands “facts” from someone else.
“Quick, Henry, the Flit!”
*All Smoke and Mirrors…..it is purely a plot by the State of Florida to sell “Gang Member Gear”! It’s all Cowboys and Indians …..all over again!
How many weeks does it take to make up a Medical Report? Sort of reminds us
of the Elian Gonzales photos that were made up at the Air Force Intelligence Agency.
GeorgE Boy is supposed to come out public today. Wonder if he will be on the Today
Show tomorrow morning with Sarah Palin?
“But I am not as troubled by the racial aspects of the shooting as I am by the failure of the Sanford (FL) police to arrest Zimmerman following the shooting.”
This is what happens when peoples perceptions of racist ideology are limited to personal prejudice notions and have no institutional analysis.
Ps, Robert Zimmerman is a retired Virginia magistrate
Law enforcement does not like the “what’s he/she hiding” aspect of a hoodie.
Kind of like how the TSA does not appreciate the hajib.
1. Are you calling Zimmerman “law enforcement?” He probably appreciates that.
2. Your second statement’s a joke, right? Where do you get the idea the TSA would care about a hajib? Don’t you know terrorists dress to fit in?
“Robert Zimmerman is a retired Virginia magistrate.”
That says a lot right there..
There should be a law against driving with a hoodie up. I have see a couple instances where hooded lane changers darn near collided with the car next to them because they could not see to the side. If you can’t be distracted by using a cell phone and driving, why should you be allowed to limit your driving vision by wearing a hoodie?
There is such a law: reckless driving. Would it shock you, though, to discover that some people can drive just fine with a hooded sweatshirt and don’t need to be processed through the already overburdened court system?
I imagine some people could drive with their one eye shut, blasted drunk, and with a flat tire, but I would still think he should be ticketed/arrested, no? Just as you would be if your tint was so dark your vision was obscured, or if you have no mirrors, or your lights aren’t on, etc., etc. Many of these hoods come so far forward that you will literally have very restricted, tunnel vision…that ain’t safe.
If someone has their hood pulled so far forward as to obstruct their vision while driving, that’s different from just “wearing a hoodie.” You don’t need a special law for it, just like you don’t need a special law for driving while wearing a diving helmet.
*Natalie Holloway could tell you all about Judges……and their progeny. Sure this guy isn’t from Aruba? Brutal.
EPILOGUE—
Less than 24 hours after my post, Special Prosecutor Angela Corey filed Second Degree Murder charges against vigilante George Zimmerman. ALL RIGHT!!!
But let’s remember, this is the same Florida that allowed the Butcher of Brentwood, OJ Simpson, to live in style without having to pay the $30 million wrongful death judgment against him; this is the same Florida that allowed war criminal George Bush to steal the 2000 election from Al Gore; and this is the same Florida that allowed Michael Schaivo to pull the plug on his wife Terri, despite her wishes to to the contrary.
Who knows where the trial of Zimmerman will end up???
Eddie Rose
Apart from the Schiavo case (which we can prudently agree to disagree on) good points!
WAR CRIMINAL BUSH , STOLE THE ELECTION , PUT DOWN THE PIPE GET THE FACTS AND STOP SMOKING GANJA
No Greg, that does not surprise me. Same is true of some people being able to drive just fine with a dog on their lap, or while using a cell phone, or never getting injured even though they won’t wear a seat belt. I guess I do not get your point. And, what happened to Vern Nelson’s comment? He posted as agreeing with me, then his comment disappears and is replaced by your disagreeable comment. Has he been sent to the woodshed?
I got rid of it after I thought about what Greg wrote. Your idea sounded like it made sense to me at first. But, you know, there are already SO many laws, and SO many ways a person can drive recklessly. If a person’s driving with their hoodie up blocking their peripheral vision, that SHOULD be considered reckless. So I agree with you, but just not on another new damn law.
… who told you about the woodshed?
vern balt sun look up beating victim its also on you tube . bunch of black kids attack a man steal his stuff n fake tea bagging him –
Justin Fenton, The Baltimore Sun

At first, the video of a man being beaten and stripped in downtown Baltimore appeared to be just another tantalizing shock clip for the Internet. But in recent days, thanks to social media users as far away as California, it could prove instrumental in solving the case.
Police have made no arrests in last month’s attack, but they said tips were flooding in about the identity of the man shown punching a disoriented victim before others ripped off his clothes, took his belongings and humiliated him on the sidewalk outside a city courthouse.
Outraged viewers appear to have gone a step beyond voyeurism, using social media to identify a Rosedale man as the person who threw the punch. Meanwhile, the information helped police confirm the identity of the victim — who had reported an assault and robbery but could not provide details at the time. vern here is the short version of the balttmore story
Good job, Juan aka Grate One. Now, what point were you trying to make again?
You and some other fellow were accusing the rest of us of “presuming Zimmerman’s guilt” or something.
That case was a MURDER (or at least a fatal shooting) and Zimmerman admitted to being the shooter. All our outrage – all the nation’s outrage – has been that there was NO ARREST after TWO MONTHS. What presumption of guilt? We know Zimmerman did the shooting because he said so, but we don’t know what led up to it. FORTUNATELY, if you missed it, he DID finally get arrested the other day, so a lot of the outrage has passed (except for how long it took, and it may never have happened without all our outrage.)
So how does this other crime match up to that? Or what point are you trying to make? Looks like you have an April 4 story about a March incident, where people across the country are still trying to determine the IDENTITY of the perpetrator. Have there been arrests yet? Are you comparing this particularly obnoxious robbery with taking someone’s life for good? I’m sure we all “presume these guys guilt” if the video shows what it shows. What are you trying to say?
You’re not trying to say that black criminals with white victims get off easier than white criminals with black victims, are you?
Yeah, I’d have to go along with “arrest the perps” here, despite any possibility that they might have been “standing their ground.” And then I’d go back to wondering why Zimmerman almost got away with it.
no vern what i am saying is this story got buried YOU GUYS DIDNT EVEN KNOW ABOUT IT .. now just turn this around black kid beaten by whites front page of every newspaper , lead story on the news , black congress = hunted down like a dog and killed = so they have made up their mind . i want to really see what happens IF AND I SAY IF THEY FIND THIS GUY NOT GUILTY .. what will happened riots again ?
I see it more as a MURDER, confessed to, everyone knew who the perp was, with no arrest for two months, plus a stubborn family of the victim making noise for justice, is why everyone knew and cared about the one case.
Where as the other was a MUGGING, on videotape, but noone’s yet really sure who the instigator was, not quite the same level of national outrage. That’s got nothing to do with race one way or the other.
If you’re trying to say the public cares more about black victims than white victims you’re crazy.
Yeah, comparing these cases to each other is absurd. The cable news channels don’t go around covering every robbery, regardless of race. The Grating One’s expectations are a bit misplaced.
The Trayvon Martin case, on the other hand, involves a man who kills another man, admits to it, and yet no arrest is made. On top of that, you have the “stand your ground” angle that tends to make the story more newsworthy to a cable news outlet.
And I must ask The Grating Juan…is Fox News covering the Trayvon story? Are you outraged at them as well?
“…a man who kills another man…”
And that’s calling a 17-year-old a man.
hey anon do you watch fox news ? i guess you dont they cover it all the time i hope your not watching msnbhehaw and geting info from them .
Yeah that’s exactly what I mean, Grating Juan. You’re criticizing the media for focusing so much on the Trayvon case, yet your favorite news source is PART of that media overkill. Duh.
So Great Cowardly Juan……. tell everybody about the Dallas story.
The one where the white supremacists beat the black guy and the DA didn’t file charges. According to you it would have been on the front pages. But we never heard about it.
Your theory sucks.
hey democrap you clown more black kids are killed by blacks than white yet its hardly ever reported you only hear it when a white kills a black and then all the USUAL SUSPECTS LIKE YOU and al , jesse , and the rest of the race baiters come out .. black on black crime happens way more often
That’s not what we’re talking about here, Grating Juan. Focus now. We’re talking about the stories that the media chooses to cover…a subject that YOU raised here. Can you stay on topic?
thats right the stories that media chooses to cover martin 24 -7 the other in balt zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Murder story versus beating story….
Do the math Juan.
I’m talking about a story where white guys beat a black guy. Not much media coverage. That liberal media bias that you believe in was quiet.
Like I said before…..your theory sucks.
Poor Juan will always have trouble keeping straight what the argument is, what he’s said, and what others have said, and he’ll always be stuck in the mire of false equivalencies.
But give him credit for two things: He showed us where he got his story, and he’s stopped using that silly pseudonym.
It’s true that FOX has been covering the story, but mainly from the point of view of exonerating the killer. And to a degree they’re queasy doing that, it seems to me, because they don’t want to be called out as racists.
MSNBC had wall-to-wall coverage – not so much Rachel, but it was 50% of what you heard on Schultz, Sharpton, and O’Donnell. It seemed to me this was not only because they cared about Trayvon’s death and justice being done, but that this was a good story to illustrate two of their liberal ideas (which maybe I even share) – that “Stand Your Ground” laws are Second Amendment totally run amok, and that black people still don’t get equal justice in this country.
FOX, especially Hannity, was chomping at the bit to take the other side of those two arguments, which forced them to defend the killer. Or maybe that’s still even going on, I don’t know, haven’t turned on my TV in a while.
Let’s say we’re all sorry about what happened, that we all wish Trayvon were still alive, that we don’t know EXACTLY what happened that night but hopefully it will come out, and that justice will be done. I have a good impression of both that prosecutor lady, and Zimmerman’s new attorney.
Of Stand Your Ground Laws, not so much.
So let me get this straight.
The Great One has blown his own cover and is now Juan Gonzales?
Usually that name is spelled Gonzalez. Maybe he’s trying to distance himself from using steroids. That would explain a lot of his crazy posts.
Nah I’ve seen it both ways. Gonzales is a little less common. Maybe it’s more common in Cuba.
i can see democrap knows nothing as usual VERN TAKE A BOW YOU GOT THAT ONE RIGHT .
I know that your theory on media coverage is irrational, given the facts.
Hey too late to be GRate one Juan. We like Juan Gonzales better.
The Great One, Grating Juan, The Great Coward….Juan Gonzales, Juan Gonzalez.
It’s the same trash truck. Just a different name sewn onto the shirt.
vern forced him to defend the KILLER . BOY IM GLAD YOUR NOT ON THAT JURY . YOUR MIND IS MADE UP ALREADY I SEE .. all i am saying lets wait to see ALL THE FACTS OF THE CASE .. AND IF THIS GUY IS GULITY I HAVE NO PROBLEM SENDING HIM AWAY FOR GOOD ..
Dude, it is not really in doubt that George killed Trayvon. He admitted it to police, and hasn’t denied it to anyone even in all his big excuse-making. The trial will determine if there were any extenuating factors, self-defense or whatnot. OK???
thats exactly right vern no argument here .
