Kudos to President Obama for Rejecting Keystone XL Pipeline

Once again, the blatantly biased and morally bankrupt Orange County Register has gotten it totally wrong!  (“Politics of Pipeline Denial,”  January 20, 2012.)  Despite the mindless babble of The Register, President Obama did the right (if not politically correct) thing in rejecting the dirty and destructive proposed Keystone XL tar sands pipeline project.

Not only was the proposed Keystone XL project unnecessary and unwanted (except for and by Big Labor and Big Oil), but it would have threatened vital water supplies, and markedly increased toxic pollution in our country.  Clearly, this project is not in the best interests of the American people.

Reminiscent of a popular commercial, the underlying theme of this project is:

Campaign contributions to corrupt Republicans (if the Keystone XL project is approved)———–100′s of millions of dollars

Profits to Big Oil (if the Keystone XL project is approved)———-100′s of billions of dollars;

A Healthy and Clean Environment (if the Keystone XL project is rejected)—-PRICELESS
