How is it possible that people or magazines are allowed to make blanket judgments about others? Mr. Blackwell was famous for pointing out the worst dressed Hollywood Stars. Every year he would point his boney figure at this star or that with huge ramifications for careers and fan attitudes. Then came more lists of famous people’s mug shots. Nick Nolte, Mel Gibson and Britney Spears…..all have taken the proverbial Papparazzi Gas! It seems that virtually any list seems to be popular with the citizenry.

The Pittsburgh photo was especially offensive. It is interesting to note that usually: Mission Viejo is well known for being one of the safest cities in America, every year! We could easily point out the wide variety of terrible crimes that Mission Viejo has been party to…..but they still keep getting those Safe Ratings by somebody! Who is there Public Relations Group that is able to maintain that rating – year after year?
Well, Newport Beach was reported to be the #1 Worst Dressed City with Los Angeles right up there behind in the #2 spot on the Channel 4 local news this morning. Upon closer examination; Newport Beach was actually rated 29th by GQ…..not #1. http://www.coronadelmartoday.com/21516/amy/worst-dressed/
We really need a list of the dumbest cities in America. How about starting with Bell, California or anywhere that spends the people’s money without any accountability? So Congratulations Newport Beach…..number 29 out of 40! We have no where to go but down!
Can’t wait for the GQ list to come out next year 2012 and see where Mission Viejo lands in that worst dressed catagory!

Newport Beach is status conscious, not fashion conscious. They have to drive a certain car, undergo certain kinds of plastic surgery, and buy certain clothes to fit in. Their fashion centers around a name brand more than being an individual with their own sense of style. I feel sorry for them. They are like farm animals. But hey, that’s why they moved there.
Cities that have more character and culture tend to have much more fashionable people. Cities like that tend to nurture everyone’s innate sense of fashion.

*Just got back from the OC Fair…..was lucky enough to get in free between 12 an 1 today! Walking through one of the booth rooms….ran into the Democrat table….
walked up bold as brass and said: ” We are conservative Republicans for Obama!” A wry smile……was in evidence.

was hot in that tent/booth room. The Republicans in the OC are wondering where

the wife and i had a similar experience:
we parked the yacht at the bay club, helicoptered to the fair, entered through the vip gate, shared some bubbly with congressman royce (who personally signed our fans), enjoyed a private tour of the art exhibit with members of the Newport Beach Arts Commission, had some Aussie fries and corn on the cob with members of the fair board, got back on the chopper and were back in crystal cove in time for happy hour at javier’s
i was wearing polo with some gucci driving shoes, the wife (i call her sweetie) was in some dolce gabanna number that she picked up pre season in milan
