Oh my. It looks like the Independence Day event that was held today at the Santa Ana Public Library was chock full of Mexican-bashing Minutemen. Imagine that.
Lupe Moreno, a former member of the Santa Ana Public Library Board, apparently invited her fellow Minutemen to the event. Moreno is also active in the OC GOP, and she is a supporter of both Anaheim Councilwoman Lucille Kring, the Republican who is challenging State Senator Lou Correa in November, and Assemblyman Van Tran, the Republican who is running against Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez.
As you can see in the above video, they brought their hatred for Latinos with them. (A word of warning, there are quite a few F-bombs in this video, which was shot by our friend Naui Huitzilopochtli).

just saw this post and have looked at the video yet. i will watch closely though to see if there are any utterances against mexicans in it. I doubt there will be and, if I don’t see any;, please give me a head’s up and tell me where I can find such talk.

The minute men and the tea party are an indicator that the white race knows they are done. This is their last move before they become the servants of brown people. If I am not mistaken that so called Gringo is actually a latino I have spoken with him before and have confirmed that he is Mexican.
Can somebody please let Lupe Moreno know that Bill Hunt lost the election.

Art, opposing SB1070 is hilarious and shows just how ignorantly knee-jerk your whole thought process is. Wake up – the more states and local governments that pass their own laws the faster the feds actually do something.
Fact is, the only reason so many illegal immigrants are here is because of the inaction of the feds. You hate SB 1070 because it means something might actually be done about the 11 million plus illegal immigrants here now.
Truth is, I think you’ll oppose even Obama reform, because that will mean that these lawbreakers will have to pay a price. Be honest, for once, you would support nothing less than full amnesty, right?

Art, that is great to hear, thanks! How about the English-language requirement? I’m not against legal immigration, and I’m not for rounding people up and deporting them. Our society literally breaks down when the law is irrelevant to people’s everyday lives – just look at Santa Ana’s corrupt government!

I do think folks should learn English, but understand that English is a Germanic tongue. Spanish is a Latin tongue with a lot of Arabic. It is very hard for Latino adults to learn English, particularly when they havent’ much time to do so.
