Oh no! Red County is reporting that Minuteman favorite Bill Hunt is now behind incumbent appointed Sheriff Sandra Hutchens by only 1 point! The poll was conducted by John Lewis, so I don’t believe it, but nevertheless this is bad news for those of us who want to see Hunt go down in flames, due to his affiliation with noted racists Joe Arpaio, Barbara Coe and Jim Gilchrist.
A poll released by Lewis Consulting Group shows Sheriff Sandra Hutchens now leading former Sheriff Lieutenant Bill Hunt by 1 point 21% – 20%. The balance of the vote was split between Anaheim Deputy Chief of Police Craig Hunter and a large block of undecided voters.
Once the shock of this shock poll had worn off, I called John Lewis and asked his thoughts on why Hunt had narrowed the gap. John pointed to the big earned media splash Hunt had recevied from the Sheriff Joe Arpaio event that was broadcast on KFI’s John & Ken radio program, and the ancillary media coverage it generated.
If you want a Sheriff who is going to promote Arizona-style racial profiling, vote for Hunt.
I am telling everyone I know to vote for Hunt…

Michelle I did not hear that, but it is going to be difficult to pass anything since no Republicans are going to vote for a democratic idea, I doubt if many if any Dems at this point would supprt a republican plan either.
So I expect no change in the current situation for at least another couple of years, If then.
But If Hunt does win it will be a sad day for Orange County.
It will set back any hope of any real progress to solve problems including immigration conserns, he will divide the people and just like in Washington nothing will get done.

If the federal Government would only secure the border the American people would be more willing to consider some type of guess worker program.. amnesty is out of the question. American’s are paying to subsidize the children of illegal immigrants -could you imagine how many would be eligible for federal aid if they became citizens – MILLIONS.. knowing just how many illegal immigrants are getting entitlements here in Orange County I can attest to the fact that in Orange Country if hundreds were to become Citizens – Orange Country, Calworks, Caloptima, Healthy families would be spending a lot more .. The fact that illegal parents with American Children can not get the full benefits from Social Services, is a GOOD thing!.. Orange County would be broke on Social Services alone – not just the ridiculous benefits public workers get!
Orange Country has turned their social services in to a social engineered program that targets the children of illegal immigrants and in a few cases illegal immigrants themselves..
This is not about Skin color, creed, culture.. Its about MONEY.. and this country is BROKE!
The DREAM ACT is above all the one that really gets my goat.. Take way from the citizen child to give to a child who is a non-citizen…It does not make sense .. Its as if Mexicans think all Citizens are rich enough to cough it up!

If he has half the balls to do what sheriff Apaio did.. There will be a lot less gangs on the street.. I don’t know for sure, but I would say that most gang members are Americans born of illegal parents.. I think the parents would be keeping more of an eye on the little brats – they would not want to be on the cops radar!
As far as illegal immigrant gang member’s – the cops know who they are, “get them off the street and ship them back to what ever hole they came from”.

You guys need to protest Bill Hunt at all of your May Day Events. In Santa Ana, can you please make a big banner, that shows Bill Hunt = Joe Arpiao? That would really show him! And if you want, I can get you a stack of yard signs to hold up (You can even put the little red circle with a line through them) and shout about how he will deport illegals…. yeah that would really stick it to him

The most foolish thing these knuckleheads are doing is filing challenges to this law before it is enforced. It shows their ignorance. The Supreme Court will not sustain a facial challenge to this law.
Bigmarkrod states that he wants to steal Bill Hunt signs (aka someone else’s property) and then deface them. I guess he isn’t smart or deep enough to understand that is a crime and he is using a criminal act to support the other criminal act of those who are here in the country illegally. Very good point Vern. It is unicorns and rainbows and I think Hunt is a schmuck like most politicians. That is why I’d be in favor of paying more taxes to lock more people up for a longer time. Let’s save some money by housing them in tents in the desert while we’re at it.

Here’s how these polls work: They first ask you whom you support in the race. Then they bring a whole bunch of negative about the candidates. Then they ask you again. The numbers always change from the first result. Bunch of hooey.

It is strange, they didn’t give the numbers. But if you read the poll, they do mention the Undecided and Hunter, but do not give the numbers (Hate that) and they asked the negative questions AFTER they found out the vote. To do a push poll, you need to say the negative stuff first…. But most well done polls will tell you how thay put the questions together, the order and what the percentages are of the sample…doubt it was a push poll.
