The fix is in.
As not reported on other Orange County Republican Blogs – but left to www.rightondaily.com (click to read the post) and the Orange Juice Blog to be the truth-tellers…
Many who write on this blog are disaffected Conservatives who are tired of the deal-making and how principle gets flushed in the name of strategy.
Here we go again – I got tipped off by someone in the Capitol that John Perez is putting Abel Maldonado on the floor as early as next week.
So the man who supported the largest tax increase in state history in exchange for Prop 14 is going to get confirmed as Lt. Governor?
Martin Garrick – the Assembly Permanent Minority leader has declared that this is a leadership vote.
They think they can keep Maldonado’s Senate seat Republican if they toss him out. Sam Blakeslee is the former Assembly Permanent Minority Leader and he is in line for it.
Nice. Huh.
Bend over California – this time it is Martin Garrick, Chuck DeVore and the rest of the conservatives doing it to you.

Let’s all remember too that new Assemblyman Chris Norby, faux conservative and common drunk, voted for this liar/thief/whore as well.
Linda Ackerman would have as well, my man.
Please Aaron Park, save your anti-DeVore rhetoric. It would serve you well, if you had your facts straight you’d know he abstained on the vote the first time, which serves as a no vote. If you read your CA State Constitution, you’d know that is the responsible way to vote if you don’t agree with someone being confirmed but acknowledge they do in fact have the proper qualifications to serve as Lieutenant Governor. Just because DeVore didn’t pay you to blog for him and Carly does shouldn’t mean you make things up to try to earn your keep. Find some honest work, you’re a joke.
Dave,
No, the joke is DeVore. Mark my words – he won’t even win Orange County. He has already lost. Adios Chucky!
Jokes – DeVore, Maldonado.
Bigger Jokes – Failorina and eMeg.
I will abide by OJ family protocol and not call my fellow blogger a joke. But the behavior Swanson describes – somewhat jocular.
It is time that everyone stop voting for the sitting politicians who compromise the people for their own advantage (aka Maldonado and countless others). These individuals parade around their years of climbing the political ladder as “experience”. How ignorant do they think the voters are. No longer will the voters tolerate incumbents and those trying to get ahead to the next bigger political office. It is time voters look to real life, private sector experience and education to see if the qualifications of the individual meet the duties of the office. Should a self-professed farmer, or retired doctor be on the boards of the UC and CSU systems, chairing the State Land Commission, or sitting on the committees for Economic Development and World Trade? In the private sector the resumes of the two state senators running for Lt. Gov. would be round filed. Being a party-loyalist shouldn’t be enough. Each individual should get by on their merits.
