IF the tea party and the Republicans are the same party, someone better tell the voters.

The latest CNN poll has Obama’s ratings headed back up. 54% now approve of his job preformance, up from 48% a couple of weeks ago.

I think that keeping his promise to reform health care, if it passes, will help democrats in the mid terms. It will be a big promise kept, something that rarely happens anymore.

The Tea Party and the GOP are the same party their just rebuilding their base. Palin will be their new cheer leader thats for sure with all the press she is getting mark my words…

Politics have gotten so trivial finding someone to take a real position these days is impossible.

I suppose if you broke up loyal Democrats with people who call themselves more Progressive (like me) you might get a similar result, but still… fun stuff.

I was going to put up a video of Senator Whitehouse speaking on the Republicans’ day of reckoning, but it’s so good I’ll give it its own post.

(BTW James, I’m removing the apostrophe from your title if you don’t mind; “Republicans” is just a plural, not possessive.)

The GOP has only itself to blame for its malaise.

I don’t trust either the GOP or the Dems.

As a Libertarian, I cannot expect many electoral victories, but at least I can wash my hand of the red and blue parties.

Ho ho ho! I love the way state run media ignore the Tea Party when they think it will hurt the radical leftist agenda (ignoring massive protests in DC and nationwide). But they will cover it when they think it will benefit the left – such as encouraging a third party that will draw more voters from the GOP then Democrats.

(Yes, I know the source is this post is newsmax and not state run media. The point remains true because of coverage of this and similar polls being reported in state run media.)

Is the GOP out of touch? Yes. And the Democrats even worse. Should we form a third party? No.

Both Republicans and Democrats will rue the day they did not take seriously the Tea Party movement. Democrats may feel like they have made gains with this bastardized health care bill but it will cost them politically for many, many years.
