How can we afford it, when we&#039;re laying everyone off and cutting services?

Why should OC taxpayers have to waste 40-or-so-million bucks on something we already own?  And that IS the tops of what we could afford - if the sale goes thru, why shouldn&#039;t the state sell it to a higher bidder, like a big developer or Trinity Broadcasting?

To pay off the interest on the loans/bonds we&#039;d need, the Fairgrounds would have to be made much more profitable, so we would NOT keep the same Fair we know and love, no matter what they tell you.

We are sending a real mixed message to Sacramento, telling them not to sell it, but please sell it to us if they do.  How to get across that message clearly is a real trick.  The priority needs to be stop the sale though, and certain State Senators are preferring to hear &quot;Sell it to us!&quot;
