		<description>Yeah, the only reason the fairgrounds is selling is because of the current fair board.  Local control isn&#039;t such a bad idea but the way they went about it was horrible.  They knowingly took the gamble of letting our fairgrounds go to the highest bidder.  They are being investigated for breaking a bunch of laws.  Out of fear most members of the non-profit they formed to buy it have bailed out leaving Orange County or Costa Mesa to foot the bill.  If they truly wanted local control, they should have gone about it in a more open way.  It&#039;s kind of hard to trust them because they have been trying to get rid of the equestrian center.  Excuse me?  They want to get rid of a tradition that dates back to the beginnings of fairs across America.  What&#039;s a fairgrounds without horses and farm animals???</description>
