I went to school with Tim, I ran around with Tim, I even attended church with Tim after I settled down, he settled down for a short time. We his friends here in Ripley WV, became afraid of Tim and knew he was very capable of murder, it came as no surprise in our home town when we found out what he had done. he should not have died the way he did, but if his sentence had been carried out and not drug out, he should have died the way he was sentenced, and yes the people who did this to him should be held accountable they had no right to do this to him, but the death sentence was justified. what the prison staff did was not, but what Tim did and was cabable of the sentence was just and should have been carried out.

I only look up on Tim every few years and was horrified to see this act done I was friends with him as a teen and he had many problems but he was paying for his crimes with his life the officers are their to protect inmates not torture them..I hope they all burn in hell……

Does anyone stop to think that maybe there are mental illnesses flourishing on death row? So why don’t we diagnose the illness when they are young instead of just ignoring the problem and kill them while they are young? Why wait for them to offend? Let’s just kill all the mentally ill and abused children. That’s what you are doing to them when they have been ignored for a lifetime and commit crimes when they are older.

Yes, they have committed heinous crimes but it is sick that society executes the mentally ill.

wtf. no one knows that the mfer timmy killed raped timmys girlfriend and he was paying for is actions by sitting on death row…. then these gards pushed him untill he broke and i thank thats a crime . he was proble on edge any way thay werent helping him in any way mabe thay should have aproched him and tried to help instead of macen him .then my cuzz would be here so mabe i could have wrote him and understood him alittle more. i love you timmy you will always be in my heart love you cuzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inmate Redman was an @$%^&*&* I work there I should know. He provoked the officers to try to fight him, and he just killed himself to blame it on the prison. He was in for life so it doesn’t matter and we saved the tax payers some money.

I will gladly attend Larry’s church! I read these threads and it is evident that people always respond to only what they want to read into a comments. Larry never onced backed the Guards,though others here have made accusations against officers,though they are unfounded. Yes, larry Old Test. did condone death of guilty,however thank Jesus–we don’t live by eye for eye anymore. God will judge his and our souls on our day,but I will leave readers with this note;a recent killer put to the chair began a nose bleed,pictures of the amount of blood at the end,resemble the many vicims he murdered,in hearing of facial damage in this story doesn’t it ring again to his victims? Just ironic/coincidence!oh yeah if the guards were behind this put them on Death role!!

A man who was once a boy. A man who was very devoted to his brothter. A man who wrote his nephew and niece poems and drew them pictures because he would never meet them. To the man who reached out when your family was going through a crisis and offered support. I am happy you are finally at peace. There will be no more thoughts of worry, only thoughts of comfort that you have gone home. I feel pain for your brother as I do the family of the man you took the life of. I was not there and I do not know the whole story and while I am sure there was a justification in your mind, there is no justification for taking anothers life. Not even a convicted murderer. You were condemned to death by lethal injection and that is how you should have died, not at the hands of cowards. I know you well enough to know, that the cowards that did this to you, could only do this to you while you were secured in a cage. Rest in peace Tim.

We do have a dilemna in this state and country don’t we? What’s the number, 70% or thereabouts? Seventy percent of what Larry? The number of released CA prisoners who find their way back to prison within three years of their release, better know as “recidivism.”
Three strikes laws. Are they effective?
What about rehabilitation. Do you truly believe that the majority of our prisoners become success stories as a result of rehabiliation after their incarceration?
Aside from not being able to address the big picture of crime in our land I will still agree that vigilate justice by Charles Bronson may work in Death Wish but that’s not a green light to those who were hired to “protect and serve.”
And by serve I don’t mean to take anothers life unless it is warranted.
