They certainly did not do that less government thing the last time they were in charge. More debt, more spending, less oversight, nearly a depression. Great record.

I beleive we need alternative voices in government, but they need to listen and work together to solve problems.

Perhaps a moderate 3rd party that is not beholden to special interests will have to come around again like it did in 1992.

We seemed to have years of a shrinking government, lower debt and some progress on issues. Some mistakes were made like free-trade rather than fair trade that have contributed to our current problems.

All the Republicans need to do is add some pro-equality and or pro-choice Republicans in Burbank, San Jose, West Palm Beach and Long Island and they will have a good shot at gaining the majority in 2010. One blogger I read stated that without RINOS the Republicans would not have won the majority in 1994.

jim i do agree with you they got to get some moderate folks in there . and they will gain lots of seats this year . i think its more of the way pelosi and congress is trying to ram this awfull bill down our mouth and the people dont like that nor the out of control spending . if the reps just stick to getting back what they do best . lower taxes , less big gov and stick to that they will be fine .

Great one, if the republicans self destruct like they did in this one too often then that is not going to happen.

One expects to lose some seats in the off year, but a year is a long time in this world.

If there is a rash of the nutters and the teabaggers winning next year, I expect there will be a clean sweep and the end of the Republican party in 3 years.

I wonder if Palin will try and charge MORE for her next speaking engagement! lmao... what a dope! And what dopes still follow her and think she's the face of the future! Jill, what's she saying on her Facebook- another WIN in HER opinion?! You're right Lam - a fun Wednesday morning gift from Palin!

Here's a great excerpt, "The most surprising election result of the night was the Democratic win in New York's 23rd district by the Democrat. The ultra conservatives like Sarah Palin who quit her job as governor, unable to fulfill her duties, and unstable talk show host, Glenn Beck, seem bent on shrinking the Republican party by excluding moderate Republicans. Even though their efforts didn't work in New York's notoriously Republican 23rd district, it is likely they will try again. Together, Beck and Palin have been quite effecient in sinking the Grand old Party."
