You know, Matthew, all you have to do is stop posting your antagonistic garbage at OJ and then you'd be able to put aside your animosity that seems like is turning to hyper vigilence on your part. It really is apparent that YOU want the attention on yourself. Your wife is trying to run for office and it appears that you have already thrown in the towel on her efforts as you run around "blogging" nonsense. NO ONE takes a BLOG seriously except for those who have a blog in the state of failure, like yours is. You KNOW what you have to do: Either redouble your efforts to make a better blog or just give it up, like Claudio had to.

Your determination to antagonize others in your community seems to be backfiring. If the police are reading nonsense like blogs, hopefully they'll read enough of YOUR crap to know you instigate things way beyond what could be considered reasonable.

This reenactment of the death throes of your blog over here at OJ gets wearing after a certain number of appearances on your part. Why don't you consider giving everyone some peace. You wife would certainly appreciate it if she is still in her race. OJ readers could have a break from your toxic pen. I could take a break from pointing out that your jealousy over the sitemeter numbers send you over the top with your vindictiveness and shrill complaints. You'll sleep better in your home. Give it a rest, Mr. Cunningham. For everyone's sake

Matt,

For the record, we did not publish your email, did we? Not only did you not say that the information was privileged, you also did not say it was off the record, or not for attribution. And your email message did not include any of the usual disclaimers used by the media and politicians.

I felt it was newsworthy and still do to report that you were not there because of this call you received. As I noted in our subsequent communications, my house has been egged twice in the past year - and while I am most unhappy about that it does not stop me from doing what I do.

Lastly, the police report is a public record. We could have just pulled it and posted it, but really you are not that important that I would waste a post on something like that.

And get off your high horse re blogging. Your blog can be quite spiteful - and you have no sense of humor at all. Neither of our blogs are news outlets. We are blogs. Try to have fun with this or get out of blogging. I have told you this before - you are far too brittle and thin skinned for this business.

Have a Happy Halloween!

A few things:

1) Art makes it seem as if I just dropped him a note to let him know why I wasn't there. Not true.

Earlier in the evening, I e-mailed Art and Tony Bushala to let them know I received a threatening phone call on my home phone from someone who associates himself with Orange Juice and Friends for Fullerton's Future.

2)I e-mailed Pedroza and Bushala only to let them know I intended to file a police report, and because that call was a direct result of the atmosphere they promote with their "Two Minutes Hate" approach to blogging (those who don't understand the allusion can refer too George Orwell's "1984.")

Only later that evening, following a "hey, you missed the debate" e-mail from Art, I informed him why I didn't attend.

3) By the way, it was a private communication and I did not give Art permission to post it. Art will claim it was OK because I didn't say it was "off the record", but I assumed he had a shred of honor and would treat private communication as such. Stupid me. Art certainly expects that treatment for his e-mails.

It was a very nice event. Both candidates impressed me with how well they respected each other and how well they presented their positions.

I did not agree with them on many of the issues, but I came away with a much greater respect for both of them.

I was particularly impressed with Campbell, however his stance on immigration and the border is no bueno in my book.

Kudos to the candidates and those putting the event on for a job well done.
