Most Mormons do not vote or get involved in politics because a tenant of thier belief is that thier time is God’s and should be devoted to service to him. Voting and particapation in government and ungodly like organizations does not contribue to the kingdom most Mormons serve.

Apparently Romney and a few others missed the teaching on this.

You guys missed the fact that the 12 points were from another article. I provided the link early on.

That aside, I do think that while Mormons do a lot of good, they are a bit of a cult. And at one time they did not allow African Americans to join their club. And yes at one time they also embraced polygamy.

I don’t think most Americans are ready to vote for a Mormon like Romney over a traditional Christian like Barack Obama.

You’re a sad, sad individual… out to alienate and disenfranchise the 900K California Mormons who make up a critical voting block of the republican party (which, like blacks voting for democrats, will come to an end at some point so long as their votes are taken for granted). Mormons have “a very negative image?” Oh, you must be referring to the better than average college graduation rate among both young men and women than the national average? Or are you referring to the higher than national average incomes of Mormons? Wait, are you referring to the much longer than average live span or the better than average marriage success rate? Well if my invitation was’nt lost in the mail, Pedroza would have NO BEER LEFT.

As for sensibilities, the GOP needs some new fresh names. It seems everyone floated gets tainted. Most of them were third rate anyway. John Ensign? Sarah Palin defend that.
