Anyone who thinks it's sane to implement Cap and Trade while the economy is still on the ropes and unemployment is approaching double digits or supports elected officials who do isn't qualified to call anyone else nuts. But, I know, being a leftist means never having to say you are sorry because your good intentions insulate you from the destroyed lives and even dead bodies that leftist policies inevitably produce.

Like most everyone else, I sat back and scratched my head in consternation at the announcement that Sarah Palin was resigning as governor of Alaska. Its either a bold or stupid move, I thought. I placed it on the slow cook burner in my brain and let it soak in. At first glance, you say “Well thats a mistake! She shot herself in the foot!”

I'm with you, brother. It's a knucklehead move no matter how you slice it.

Then I asked myself “What happens when you decide you dont want to run for re election?” Are we all so cynical that we forget that the politician is there for the peoples business?

Terry, you ask this question and then detail out how they are all out for themselves. I agree, too. And Sarah Palin is no different. Except for the fact that she's just like all the rest of the politicians, but on TOP OF THAT: She's a quitter.
That's just lame.

I hear that she has her high priced attorney out telling everyone she's gonna sue them bloggers. She's just a mess. She's gonna spend herself out of any money she's made or gonna make by lawyering herself up and taking her personal fights to the next level. Not smart. Glad she's out. Maybe Alaska will get a break and someone with some perserverance, brains and a service-oriented focus can help that poor state out during the next election cycle.

Quitters are losers. We'd never get anywhere at all if all out leaders quit midway though any term because of some perceived difficulty.

Some people dont even bother to read the article:

The only principle that our parties still hold are: Get elected at all costs! More and more people are starting to notice that parties and politicians are messing things up only so they can hang around to fix them. If you’re still brainwashed by the two party system, maybe its time to broaden your thinking.

For those who believe your government is at stake, declare your independence! You vote for Republicans and get bigger government and more spending. You vote for Democrats and get even BIGGER government and even MORE spending. We vote for candidates from the two parties who promise ethics, and the Republicans give us the House Intern scandal and the Democrats bring us Charlie Rangel, Fannie Mae and Chris Dodds sweetheart mortgage deals!

A Progressive Republican is no different to me than a Progressive Democrat. The state puts your freedoms aside for different reasons, but it all gets to the same place.

“Government is not reason. It is not eloquence. It is FORCE. Like fire, a troublesome servant and a fearful master. Never, for a moment, should it be left to irresponsible action.” - George Washington

It would have been irresponsible to continue in her job when someone else can get the peoples work done. THAT IS A POLITICAN FOR THE PEOPLE: GO AWAY WHEN WE DONT NEED YOU ANYMORE.

Wow, the Palin haters are out. Palin has bigger fish to fry than AK. She is taking it to the
next level, and will be a powerful force for
the Conservative movement. No more RINO's or leftists for her. Godspeed to Ms. Palin.

I am not surprised by the actions of Govenor Palin. By her actions she has broken the trust with the people who elected her, and she has failed them by not complying with her Oath of Office. I trust that her future endeavors will not involve any type of loyalty. She has defined her position very well. Thank you Senator John McCain for bringing this person to light.

Terry,

My friends in Alaska, whom my kids are spending the summer NOW.

Are outraged. The feel like this is a derilection of duties. in line with Schwartzneggers failures.

They insist that she is either going to be indicted on FELONY charges or is simply a quitter.

Thats from Anchorage at 8:55 PM TODAY.

They take this stuff seriously there unlike us in California with a festering budget problem in a leaderless state.

Terry,

Seriously, this lady is nuts!

Does your party have ANY viable presidential candidates left after the flameouts of Ensign, Sanford and Palin?
