In your example Spanish is not forced on you. When placing a call English is spoken, an option is offered to communicate in Spanish. If you are in no need you simply decline the option.

The point of my #11 post was to answer #9′s post that Mexico does cater and service individuals in English. You respond with senseless ranting.

The example I gave also included North Americans buying property and living in Mexico. I guess they are occupiers too using your protectionist argument.

Most USA residents of Mexican decent are citizens as are many immigrants from where you immigrated from. They are legal residents and citizens not occupiers.

“Occupation” generally refers to a territory being taken over by military authority. Your argument has no logic like most of what comes out of your mouth.

English is the primary language in these communities.

In Italy you will get serviced any where you go in Spanish and in English. They preference to Speak to you in Spanish because they say the preference is due to America being hypocritical and egotistical.

Mexico has no issue catering to communities from around the world that either vacation there or live there.

There are no groups in Mexico worried or arguing for people to speak Spanish only when in Mexico.

You say you speak Spanish fluently, I then assume you have been in Mexico, maybe in some of these North American communities. You then know Mexico caters to you in English any where you go in Mexico.

Why then do you have a double standard in this regard?

Or better yet, replace the cars with a family statewide bus / rail pass. And a pair of good walking shoes every other year. Oh yes and a bicycle too.

I make good coin teaching in Spanish. It is a beautiful language.
