Loading ...No wonder the DPOC sucks. According to Gustavo Arellano, over at the OC Weekly’s Navel Gazing blog, the Chair of the DPOC, Frank Barbaro, had this to say about disgraced former Sheriff Mike Carona on the O.C. Business Journal’s Rick Reiff’s Insided O.C. T.V. show on May 9:
Barbaro actually said that “the media convicted Carona” long before federal judge Andrew Guiliford sentenced Carona to five-and-a-half years in federal prison.
Wow. Barbaro also said that he is good friends with Carona’s wife Debbie. She is still on the OC Fair Board, where she has consistently voted to raise prices and to waste money. She also is guilty of giving away hundreds of tickets to OC Fair concerts to Carona’s cronies.
I just received an email this evening from Barbaro urging me to help raise funds for Irvine’s Beth Krom, who is running for Congress. No thanks. I will have nothing to do with Barbaro – and neither should any of you.
The Frank Mickadeit column in the May 11 Register states taht Ms. Carona has quietly left the OC Fair Board and is no longer a member, so that part of this post is apparently a little out of date. Wonder who the next patronage appointment by the Gubernator will be?

I’m still pissed that they didn’t charge Mrs. Carona with anything…you know damn well she was in the mix and KNEW ABOUT EVERYTHING.
This is very concerning to me. The chaor of the dpoc is to this day admitting to his friendship with debby carona after all her shenanigans at the oc fair grounds. And to defend the former sheriff even to this day. I think its time to find a new chairman for the dpoc.
This is going tooo far. This guy has been at the helm of the dpoc for who knows how long and look atthe shape its in. How the hell can we keep this guy in charge when he cfant even raise the party profile in the county in theyear of obama? Geezee Creezy. Can someone get rid of this guy and his shills at the Lib OC once and for all??
