He and his nutjob family are so personally distraught with Mr. Phelps's own homosexuality that they have to project their own anger on gay people. What a bunch of losers. Maybe it *is* all a racket for money. Which would be interesting because it would make the Westboro Baptist Church a bunch of racketeering angry homosexual gay hating losers who are going to hell, since they pretty much only pose as Christians. There is no viable substance, such as LOVE. What a bunch of heathens. Personally, I believe Fred Phelps is probably gay.

I actually think this is an interesting angle that deserves further investigation. They have to fund their activities of flying around from place to place stirring up troubles somehow. They've got a pretty crappy site with outdated hate and hostility- way too much of that, imo - to generate much income from people who are not completely wacky. There is a lawsuit that the school district is dealing with because of discrimination by some students and lack of action by administration. I think this is a factor in the "Church's" decision to fly out to protest - hoping that emotions are high. Pathetic bunch. But they have free speech protections just like the rest of us anonster,
