Van openly pushes Vietnamese to vote along ethnic lines. (in the Viet papers) The result is they are getting on these councils and with very little qualifications then seeking higher office. (using the same game plan-get all the Viet votes) Of course they want anglos and hispanics to look at the merit of candidates before voting. As it really should be, mostly. I do accept the representation factor for local politics. You would think, at least, once in office Janet Nguyen, Van Tran and now Andrew Do would try to avoid this nepotism and cronyism. Of course we know Janet has no morals...she put all that money (thousands) into a campaign for her chief of staff...KNOWING he was puting on a residency sham, one of which I would not be surprised if she set up.
