Matt aka Jubal can stay in his little HOLE with among other right wing racists! Stop attacking Art with no reason.

We all know Janet has been a irrational, vindictive clown in our county.

Linh,
Welcome to Orange Juice and thank you for your thoughtful post.

I was unhappy about all the protesting of the young VN artist who had their showing closed down.

Artistic works are supposed to challenge the viewers and spark debate and conversation. The exhibit was very controversial and there was a lot of emotion surrounding it. Shutting down the exhibit shut down the conversation that others might have been brought into. I would have liked to have known more about the artist, the art pieces and about the controversy, but there were too many who demanded silence. ~Just saying.

The record shows that I am not afraid to call folks on the mat - and that is exactly what I would have done in any case after Janet’s stupid behavior this year.

Let's get real here. The old Vietnamese community are still deeply bitter about the war. They plea for democracy and freedom but they do not accept anyone that won't condemn the communist like them. The whole recall was a sham and we all know it. It was an attempt by them to force their hatred down another person's throat. They want all Vietnamese to hate the communist. In their foolish mind, they seek revenge by hoping somehow the communist will be overthrown someday and will not accept anything less. To me they have become so extreme they've completely lost all bound of reason. They are consume by hatred down to the same level of the very people they hate.
Frankly, i think their behavior in this whole ordeal is disrespectful to the 62% or so non-vietnamese population of district 7 and the rest of America. The name Little Saigon meaningful yes. Defiant is fine and all, but you can't keep using the same old idea. Little Saigon is also too non-inclusive. It gives the feeling of being unwelcoming to other people because most people who don't know what it is won't know what to make of it. Most business place are designated with Plaza, Center, Town, Square, something that makes it more welcoming b/c they can understand what it is. It does the Vietnamese community no favor to be view as unwelcoming to the rest of America.

And if we are so darn irrelevant, than why do you spend half your day here...

Partly morbid curiosity to see how much angry and insane you and Sean can get, and partly because you're so easy to tweak and debate. You run out of intelligent counter-points almost immediately.

Matt/Jubal,

What can possibly be MORE irrelevant than NOT telling your readers that Lewis endorsed Daly? Your shilling has become obvious Matt. It is sad to see a once proud blogger reduced to being a paid blog monkey.

And if we are so darn irrelevant, than why do you spend half your day here when you ought to be telling your readers about Lewis' betrayal of your party?

Matt/Jubal,

Yeah sure. So when are you telling your readers that your pal John Lewis endorsed Democrat Tom Daly over conservative Republican Shawn Nelson?
