how is it that you know evry thing about hillcrest park? my grandfather`s brother H. Hale was in charge of procuring squirrels for the park when it was first put in .I`d like it if you sent me an email. walt.

my grandmother and mother would drop my brother and me off at hillcrest park and we would spend the day. it was a great way to spend a summer day. we lived out on east chapman. the park was a great baby sitter.that was about1946 my grandfather was mayor of fullerton from 1930-1936 his name was W.L.Hale.

Dude, Hillcrest has been a gay cruiser park for decades. Maybe once Fullerton learns to be tolerant and accepting of their prevalent gay community, people won’t feel the need to operate on “the down-low”

Sorry to hear about those problems at Hillcrest Park. I remember it fondly from the late 1960s to the early 1970s when my family spent weekends there in my chidlhood. I remember a slice of a giant redwood tree where we could count the growth rings. In the middle of the park there is a green grass covered valley where we would roll down. Good memories. Then the hippies came and trashed it for a short time, then they were gone.

Thanks for posting Tony. I spent many wonderful hours at the park as a kid, and it remains in my memory a very special place. The church I went to originally met in the Isaac Walton Lodge! It is sad to see that the place has fallen into such horrible disrepair. Keep up the campaign Tony, I hope you get the support you need to revitalize the place.

FULLERTON- Pastor Willie Ray Holmes who’s family was attacked last week, was ordered to report to OC jail next month for a violation stemming from three lewd-conduct convictions…Holmes has been ordered to stay away from Hillcrest Park”.

According to an article reported by Denise Salazar in todays OC Register, Assistant OC District Attorney Jaime Coulter said that Pastor/Dr. “Willie” Ray Holmes must report to jail March 6, 2009 to start serving a 360-day sentence for “engaging” in “lewd” conduct at the historic “Hillcrest Park” aka “Perve Park” in Fullerton.

What the darn nation is going on in Fullerton?

This is same guy that was recently attacked by a group of hoodlums.
