Didn’t Gilchrist get booted from the Minutemen?
I think it was because a misuse of funds.
If I remember right, he then founded another organization, which is even less relevant.
The guy has had his 15 minutes of fame. He is nothing more than a has-been loser.

I’m really surprised that this whole illegal immigration campaign was so poorly handled. It wasn’t timed properly to deliver angry, fearful voters to the polls in any major election and all it did is irritate the pols sympathetic to their position by villifying them for not doing anything about the problem.

A lot of us supported the securing-the-borders aspect to the issues Gilchrist’s group raised without the same concern about immigrants. Nevertheless it was all for nothing. Lots of Reep Pol lip service and fearmongering but nothing really happened because it was all about racism. A stupid, stupid focus in this melting pot if you ask the majority.
