I served on a jury in Judge Gray's court room. He ran the trial and the court room terrifically. I was quite impressed with him.

I was quite aware of Judge Gray prior to serving on the jury in that case and was thrilled when I got a chance to go back into chambers after the case wase over and sit down and talk to him.

Such an intelligent man. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors. The OC Courts will surely miss him.

#3 That sounds reasonable enough but its hard for the buyer to beware when its more than what his funds will be invested in - its also how solid the company is with its investments, will they have to disclose that too? What were the actuarial ratings of the banks that went belly up before the crisis?

#1, my guess is they would have had each financial institution state what it invested in, then: caveat emptor. Surely there would have been a market for banks that only invested in safe stuff.

They would oppose bailouts; no corporate welfare, no subsidized industries.

I don't know if would work, but what we've got now isn't doing too well.

How would libertarians have prevented the current financial crisis and how would they respond to it?
