Trying to be the hero? If you read the initial blog more thoroughly, you would know where it is going. Obviously not, reacting like a teenager.

Jubal usually does good research on any subject, covering most of the material. His peer usually uses his blog as one reference. He states the facts accurately as far as I know most of the time.

From the facts comes analysis based on many variables from educational background, general knowledge, beliefs, moral values, and so forth.

Jubal sees topics one dimensionally, which I stated earlier, which is not incorrect. However, at times, the reader would like to know if he knows the other side of the argument. He could state what opposite view is, then either refute his earlier view or affirm his existing view, and this leaves the reader with fewer doubts about his grasp on the topic.

As for consistency in reporting, Jubal is human like all of us with many influences, from the making a living, upholding personal values, supporting a family, paying a mortgage, and so forth. We all cannot be perfect all the time, so read his postings with balance and try not be too judgemental because the reader is supposed to read different types of news sources before making a determination, right? Jubal never says that his posting is the ONLY PERSPECTIVE.

Seems you are making conflicting arguments:

Not being objective is going to hurt him going forward. Not being objective when you are reporting FACTS is sneaky and undermines credibility. In the past, this may have taken a back seat to just being a GOP mouthpiece and promoting the GOP agenda. But that’s pretty much coming to a halt. It was unsustainable. Matt made a living out of doing just that – defending the sometimes indefensible because it paid him well, as long as it was GOP sponsored. He got what I would consider excessive perks at the public’s and tax payer’s expense out at the fair as political favors. Isn’t that the kind of parasite that the GOP rails against? Talk about a Welfare Queen!

I don’t know how he counts his readership. He constantly nags and whines at Art and the sitemeter results, but just poking around there at the RC… he has no active, zealous readership posting comments and challenging the lines of discussion. Where is the action? Why is Matt drawn to a site like OJ?
