Why didn’t Andrew Do mention his sandwich shop during his council campaign?

Why didn’t Supervisor Janet Nguyen’s Chief of Staff, Andrew Do, mention that he owns a Lee’s Sandwiches shop when he ran for the Garden Grove City Council this year?  If you look at his campaign website it mentions that he is a former prosecutor but there is zero mention about his sandwich shop in Stanton, even though he is the majority owner.

And when Nguyen voted against proposed restaurant ratings, why didn’t Do ask her to refrain from voting, due to obvious conflict of interest?  When exactly were they going to mention that Do and Nguyen’s husband co-own a restaurant that has received major County health violations?

i wonder if this is how Do is going to conduct himself as a Garden Grove Councilman?  At the end of the day he and Nguyen appear to be just as bad as Van Tran and his Trannies…so of course Red County’s editor, Matt/Cunningham is shilling hard for him already (see the picture below).

So what are O.C.’s Vietnamese leaders saying about all this? Here are a few comments from readers over at the Bolsavik blog:

So much for “clean government” claims by the fraudulent Janet Nguyen and her sidekick, Andrew Do.

What a bunch of liars. Andrew Do learns quickly.

Then Andrew dba criminal defense lawyer can donate his time defending Janet …..when it doesn’t conflict with his council meeting dates.
I say it’s all in the little viet mafia family!

However, little mafia member Andrew himself is involved with this scandal and he might be named as “fall person” to be sacrificed.

Who knows? Andrew may be the real crook in this mess and Janet can be nothing more than a half innocent intentional bystander!

Andrew Do failed the character test in this idiotic mistake as well. Isn’t he the 75% owner of Lee’s Sandwiches? The Stanton shop looks like a haunted house. Very few customers. What a hypocrite. Talk about bringing integrity and honesty to government when he’s so dishonest and evasive. Both you Andrew and Janet can burn in this scandal.

Your mind,

You miss the point here. The point is not about Janet Nguyen or Andrew Do being guilty or not guilty. It’s about her lack of transparency and honesty, which is becoming a recurring pattern. Had she publicly spoken up and cleared herself and her chief employee, Andrew Do, who owns a majority portion of this sandwich shop, then no one would have raised an issue, not even her former favorite supporter, Art Pedroza.

However, Janet Nguyen failed to bring out this fact on a public matter that directly affects her and her employee’s interests. The silence shows that she had something to hide. And adding to the problem, her employee, Andrew Do, also co-owns the sandwich shop. Where was Do in all of this and why did he not advise Janet Nguyen, his boss, to bring forth this matter?

What makes it even worse is when the OC Register began to inquire about this issue, the two of them went mum, evading public scrutiny once again. Silence is not golden in this case.

A pattern of secret dealing and evasion has already developed over Janet Nguyen. Remember the FPPC problem and the lawsuit for non-payment from Jimy Camp, amongst other things? Janet Nguyen was ducking and hiding until she was forced to come clean, just like this sandwich shop incident.

Righteous,

Well, well. Let’s see how Janet Nguyen and Andrew Do’s political opponents present all these ethical lapses to the voting public. The great Carmac sees cockroaches and rats’ droppings all over the place and a huge FAIL sign on the health inspector’s report for the sandwich store. Let’s see how Janet Nguyen and Andrew Do (and he is really a Do Do) answer to these charges.

Righteous,

Obviously, it’s not a “non-issue” as you may have wished. Really …. about legal counsel? Is this before or after the OC Register run the story? Wonder why they ran a story like this if it’s a non-issue.

I am very disappointed with Andrew Do, who is a lawyer and neck deep in this scandal as the majority owner of this sandwich shop. If Janet Nguyen doesn’t know, Do should know better. His city council seat is not even warm yet when he already step on kaka, especially when he campaigned on the issue of honesty and integrity in government. Do you know how to spell hypocrisy?

Is it now the time to start talking recall for Andrew Do? Who did’nt know where him and Janet were coming from long ago? Starting with the GG residency bullsh**…It all points out the arrogance that politicians can aquire. If not for the new watchdog movement most would be getting away with incalculable “appearances of impropiety”. To any idiot on this blog who declares this Janet Nguyen/Andrew Do matter to be a “non-issue”, one has to question either your intelligence level or your bias.

I have a friend of a friend of a friend whose cousin works on the 6th of Janet’s building. This person says Janet is very upset by all of this unwated attention. She plans to pay back Art in full personally since she can’t trust Andrew to do anything right any more.

Self Righteous. The Lee’s Sandwich Store fiasco is a gift that keeps on giving, especially around election time. It’s my gift to Janet Nguyen and Andrew Do. They own Lee’s and they should enjoy this gift from me year round. Ho ho ho !!!
