Perhaps Lou could convince CalPERS to loan the State of California about 40 billion. They hold about 200 billion total assets which were largely derived from the State of California.

Does anyone think that CalPERS would consider the Golden State as a good credit risk?

Publius,

Oh please, I know that. But trust me, Correa has to be relieved to be working with Steinberg rather than Perata.

Correa's "new boss" isn't Senator Steinberg.
He works for the people of the 34th Senate District.
This is something Perata failed to understand.
