LOL Debbie did make it a point to mention how much petroleum gets wasted each year unnecessarily bottling water in plastic. And I'm pretty sure she didn't take a sip.

Hey Vern I just have one really important question that you did not cover:

Was the debate sponsored by Dasani Water?

I attended the debate. In my opinion, Debbie Cook was articulate, concerned, and gave thoughtful answers that did not insult my intelligence. She displayed an earnest ability to reflect and a desire to problem solve. I believe she wants to work to make things better for our community and our nation.

Dana Rohrabacher was a caricature. His “let’s take pork-chop hill” swagger played well in vintage RKO features, but has no usefulness in the 21st century. In retrospect, I found it ironic to see so much culture-warrior bravado from a draft-dodger.

And how he blamed ‘illegal aliens” for EVERYTHING…except credit default swaps. It all started to sound very Area 51.

BTW, I happen to agree with Debbie Cook on the “bailout”.

While I am pissed as hell, allowing anger to govern critical financial decisions is not what is needed. Allowing Lehmann Bros to fail proved to be a disaster. The first bailout package had no accountability. The second was an improvement and something needs to be done besides political posturing.
