Disgraced O.C. Sheriff Mike Carona is long gone, but the stink of his regime is lingering – over at the O.C. District Attorney’s office, where D.A. Tony Rackauckas, who is beginning to resemble Grandpa Munster, is spending a lot of time attacking new Sheriff Sandra Hutchens – for things that happened during his boy Carona’s regime.
In one instance the Sheriff’s Department botched an investigation into a Deputy who apparently molested a child he was involved with in the Big Brother program. The Deputy was allegedly tipped off and he ended up killing himself. Well, the investigation does appear to have been bungled. But that investigation happened under the watch of Carona’s right hand guy Jack Andersen!
Rackauckas “also suggested that the department might be better served by allowing an outside agency to investigate criminal allegations against its deputies,” according to the L.A. Times.
Are you kidding me? Does ANYONE remember Rackauckas EVER investigating Carona? He never did! He always covered up for Carona. And now T-Rack wants to make allegations about how Hutchens is investigating her deputies? Who is he to talk?
Hutchens “replied to Rackauckas, saying that the captain who oversaw the investigation told her he had taken steps to make sure any flaws in the Stenger investigation would not be repeated. Hutchens said she was perplexed by Rackauckas’ suggestion that her department could not competently investigate its own deputies.”
Perplexed? I’m not. Have we all forgotten that former Carona consigliere Mike Schroeder is pals with T-Rack, and his wife Susan Kang works for the D.A.? Duh! All of this looks like it came out of Schroeder’s bag of foul tricks.
My pajaritos are telling me that T-Rack and a number of Carona goons are working double-time to try to undermine Hutchens. That is what is really going on here. They want to destroy her and take her out when she comes up for reelection. Carona is gone but his machine is still alive and it is targeting Hutchens.
Art, since you are running to be a councilman in Orange County’s most populous and troubled city, don’t you think it’s high time to ditch your facts-e-damned, ready-fire-aim approach to politics and actually makes sure you have the facts before your start assigning blame?
You claim:
Well, the investigation does appear to have been bungled. But that investigation happened under the watch of Carona’s right hand guy Jack Andersen!
The OCSD investigation — the one to which you’re referring, and the one the DA’s office rightly blasted — took place in 2007. Mike Carona didn’t resign until mid-January, 2008.
I suggest actually read the letter from Tony Rackauckas, Who makes very reasonable points to Sheriff Hutchens. Rather than spinning the same stale conspiracy theories, you might try responding to what Tony actually wrote.
Matt/Jubal,
The Register referred to Andersen, but if what you say is true than you are only serving to prove my point – Hutchens had NOTHING to do with any of this. T-Rack NEVER went after Carona for these problems. That he is now attacking Hutchens is pure politics – and it is undermining the Sheriff’s department.
Again, why did T-Rack ignore all of this during the failed Carona regime?
Art, your “pojnt” is completely beside the point, because no one has said Hutchens had anything to do with it — no one.
Again, why don’t you actually read Rackauckas’ letter before you spout off about Rackauckas’ letter?
Matt/Jubal,
This is a good time to remind my readers that you have NEVER stopped hacking for your boy Carona.
I have an inside source in the Sheriff’s Department. Trust me – Hutchens and her staff know EXACTLY what T-Rack and his Carona goons are up to.
It’s not going to work Matt. Not this time. Hopefully our friend Moxley will have a look at T-Rack and his department before long…
And I’m sure your readers will recognize this tried-and-trite Pedroza tactic.
You write an erroneous, off-base post criticizing a letter from Rackauckas that you haven’t even read. You get called on it, and true to form, you try to change the subject.
Regarding Moxley: maybe you are unaware, but he’s the one who broke this story. And his story wasn’t very complimentary to Sheriff Hutchens. Now, I suppose you can always claim Moxley is on now a “T-Rack goon.”
Matt/Jubal,
I appreciate that you didn’t even try to say that you are not a Carona hack, given that you are.
I did not read Moxley’s story. All I read was the Register’s article, which did not include T-Rack’s letter. I am sure you have a personal copy of said letter given your involvement with these awful people.
Hutchens may not be perfect, but she is not Carona and she has no ties to his putrid regime. Good enough for me.
Again, the issue here is that T-Rack and his Carona goons are targeting Hutchens. They are using every means available to undermine her and her department. That is something you will never attest to but I assure you it is happening.
I am sure you will keep spinning otherwise, but given your membership in the Carona cabal we should take everything you say and throw it in the basura.
I’d like to know why none of the deputies were indicted for perjury or obstruction of justice in the Grand Jury Chamberlain murder investigation. Hell, they admitted it! Could it be that that would have led to a suborning perjury charge against Carona that would have to be prosecuted by the DA?
I appreciate that you didn’t even try to say that you are not a Carona hack, given that you are.
I’m not, but trying to dissuade you from your fantasies is a Sisyphean task. You’d rather try to dismiss a critic with name-calling than actually grapple with the facts.
Again, the issue here is that T-Rack and his Carona goons are targeting Hutchens
No, that’s not the issue. That’s just your opinion, nothing more. If you would simply take the time to read Rackauckas’ letter — and to read it honestly, minus your conspiracy-colored glasses — you would see that readily enough.
I work down here at the DA and I can tell you all that my former lover and boss,Tony Rackauckas, is covering up for Republicano Carlos Bustamante. My colleague on council, Mr. Bustamante has been involved in extra marital affairs, one of which resulted in a child, another in a crime that is being covered up by Mr. Rackauckas. If Mr. Bustamante does not end his bid for council by Friday A.M., I will release this information to the media.
NO IDEA why you put up Grandpa Munster, but it’s nice to see Al Lewis again, the serial confabulator and perennial New York Governor candidate who managed to get enough votes to put the Green Party on the ballot for four years in that state. The only actor known to lie about his age making it older! He claimed to be born in 1910 but it seems it was really 1923. He died two years ago. A little Al Lewis quote: “My mother was a worker, worked in the garment trades. My mother was an indomitable spirit. My grandfather had no sons. He had six daughters. They lived in Poland or Russia, every five years it would change. My mother being the oldest daughter, they saved their money, and when she was about 16 they sent her to the United States, not knowing a word of English. She went to work in the garment center, worked her back and rear-end off and brought over to the United States her five sisters and two parents. I remember going on picket lines with my mother. My mother wouldn’t back down to anyone.”
