I know ‘Boogie Wonderland’ by Earth, Wind, and Fire. I know ‘Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy From Company B.’ I don’t know ‘Boogie Woogie.’

I listen to pretty much all music from the Beatles onward (plus 40′s Swing) and have DJ’ed in Boston since I was 17. In fact, I’m trying to get back into the business out here. I may only be 29, but I’m the worst kind of history buff there is, so please don’t underestimate my knowledge of things that occurred before my time… or my wisdom.

No, you know something. Nevermind. Keep on doing what you’re doing and proving that your level of maturity is lower than that of someone under 30. I like I that option better. It means I can just ignore you.

FIXED the address in this post. Don’t go to Main St., that’s some old little branch (still called Main because it’s on Main St.) The central library’s on Goldenwest where Talbert would hit it. Inside Huntington Central Park. If you’re coming down Talbert from Beach or the 405, Talbert leads right into the parking lot.

“Money (That’s What I Want)” is a 1959 hit single by Barrett Strong for the Tamla label, distributed by Anna Records. The song was written by Tamla founder Berry Gordy and Janie Bradford, and would become the first hit record for Gordy’s Motown flagship label.

Who the hell is Barret Strong? Of course Bumblebee Boogie is one of my frequent encores – from back in the 40′s, when the Winships were only 60-something. They still can’t tell me and Sarah apart, since we’re both such amazingly young whippersnappers at 48 and 29.

I’ll mix politics and music if Larry and Carl come, I do whatever I want! I was avoiding doing my Debbie Cook song at non-political events, but it turns out even Republicans love it.

I’m not sure if we’re always gonna be Duelling Bloggers, Carl, I think a lot of things are coming up this year that we’ll be agreeing on – like Prop 11 for fair redistricting, and (I think) the anti-gay marriage initiative. You’ve heard of the “Strange Bedfellows” alliance hitting the Democrats on FISA, an alliance between Ron Paul libertarians, the ACLU, and hardcore liberal bloggers like Glenn Greenwald and FireDogLake? Not all of the outrages going down these days translate into left-vs-right any more.
