Larry,
The message as you know, was “we are now in the minority, will not be able to silence the public and Carter might be out of a job”

Mongo.
I will accept the fact that you are familiar with the CUSD school district. If I am mistaken please correct me. Much has been written about the justification for the RECALL so I won't devote time to that debate here. Seventy percent of those who cast votes in last week's Special election have already answered that question by voting to oust two Trustee's.
In his comments tonight Tom Russell stated that he expects that there will be times when they do not always agree. His main concerns relate to transparency, following the process and conducting yourselves with integrity and honesty.

There have been charges of the prior Board violating the state's open meeting law known as the Brown Act. Having been a witness to one such violation in my city, which led to punitive action against our city council, I am quite familiar with that law.
I would also point out that I have blogged extensively about Mission Viejo where we assisted five council members get elected yet from time to time they have each "surprised" us with their votes. Therefore I would not assume a 5-2 on every issue the new Board takes action on.

To take your 5-2 to an extreme simply look at Republican appointed judges whose votes drive us up trees. Don't assume anything. We all know what "assume" means.
